Our Events
1st. Mountain Ash (Saint Margaret's) Brownies
The 1st. Mountain Ash (Saint Margaret's) Brownies meet every Thursday 6.30 – 8.00pm in the Church Hall. (adjacent to Saint Margaret's Church). If your daughter is interested in becoming a Brownie, you must register your daughter on the Girl Guiding website.
Brownies is for all girls aged seven to ten. Brownies introduces girls to a world of new opportunities, challenges and fun. Being a Brownie is an adventurous journey that girls take with their friends.
Brownies is about getting together each week, to work on badges, learn new skills, play games and see friends. It’s about trying different activities and going along to special events and day trips.
All Brownies are sure to try new things and take on board a range of challenges as they explore the topics that sit within our six programme themes:
- Know Myself: Express Myself: Be Well: Have Adventures: Take Action: Skills For My Future.
In our meetings, girls will try new things – they can work in groups on skills builder activities like Live Smart or Network and have fun all together with unit meeting activities.
They work towards interest badges in their own time, choosing topics and skills they are interested in and exploring everything from languages to space.
Brownies can feel proud of their achievements with awards for each theme and work towards the Brownie Gold Award – the highest award a Brownie can get!
